New Ranger Z Series Comanche; The Revolution Has Truly Begun

Ranger
Boats of Flippin, AR started building legendary bass boats in 1968,
and every model year they have either upgraded or enhanced their boats.
This year Ranger Boats has begun a revolution with their new 2005
Z Series Comanche. Once you sit down in a new
Z Series boats, we know that you will agree, The Revolution Has Truly
Begun.
The
new Z Series is available in 3 models for
2005; a 20' 5" Z20 rated for a 225hp, the 21' 2" Z21 rated for a 250hp
and the 22' 2" Z22 rated up to 300hp. Production on the Z
Series will begin early this fall.
So
you ask; what's so revolutionary about this new Z
Series?? Well this article is to short to tell you everything, I'll
try, but you should stop by your local Ranger dealer to experience the rest. All
three models start with an ultra wide 95" beam to add more room for storage
and fishing room, which also helps with increasing motor weights. How about not
having locks or latches on all your lids, Ranger has developed the Dri-Latch
system to help keep compartments dry, secure and deck unobstructed. Seating that
feels like it belongs in a ultra high end sports car (Ferrari, Lotus or
Corvette). The new consoles not only have much more leg room that previous
models, they have a instrument panel again out of a high end sports car with
multi function gauges and brushed aluminum gauge panels. How about padded carpet
on the front deck?, Yea the carpet up by the trolling motor is padded. The trade
mark Comanche stripes have changed. There are many other new features but as I
said we only have so much room.
So
after seeing the new Z Series and all it has
to offer, you will be in agreement
that the 2005 Ranger Z Series truly is revolutionary.

Mercury's
long awaited Project X 4 Stroke
outboard has finally been unveiled as the Verado.
This industry changing engine has entered the water like a great white shark
amongst goldfish.
The
new 2005 Verado was introduced to the public
at the Miami International Boat Show in February of 2004, with production
beginning in late April. Models for 2005 include 200, 225 250 and 275
horsepower's.
The
revolutionary Mercury Verado is a large 4
stroke that distances it self from all other 4 stroke outboards presently on the
market today. Unlike it's competition, this 4 stroke performs more like a
traditional 2 stroke, but is a highly refined propulsion system. The Verado
is an in-line six cylinder engine that is Supercharged
with a intercooler. Computer
controlled sequential multiport electronic fuel injection along with integrated
dry sump oiling,, electro-hydraulic power steering,, Smartstart and Smartcraft
DTS fly by wire controls. These features sound more like an Formula 1 race car
or even a fighter jet than a outboard, but that is what makes the Verado
the most advanced outboard motor in the world today.
After
test running several Verados, the first
thing that you notice is that you have to pay attention to tell if it is even
running at idle because it is so quiet. Even running on plane sounds noticeably
quieter than a traditional outboard. The supercharge gives the Verado
a feel that no other 4 stroke outboard on the market today can claim, strong
bottom end and mid-range performance with power to burn. The
Verado runs smooth and seems to have no vibrations, which is helped
by it's new motor mounting system. With their smooth, quiet and powerful new Verado,
Mercury should truly take charge of the larger displacement 4 stroke market.
Stop
by MARE Inc and see the 250 Verado
on our Ranger 2300 we have been testing since May
